The Sponsorship Director manages the overall sponsorship program by identifying, cultivating and stewarding corporate prospects and donors to maximize sponsorship revenue. This individual is responsible for an annual fundraising goal as well as the strategic expansion of the program while working closely with the Chief Development Officer, Development and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; develop and implement overall sponsorship sales strategy, research and identify ways to maximize all partnerships, establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate program officers and marketing executives, write, assemble and submit corporate funding requests, conduct value assessment for event proposals and partnerships packages, prepare and negotiate master sponsor sales materials, proposals, contracts and promotional agreements, ensure prompt acknowledgement of corporate and foundation gifts and sponsorships, arrange corporate meetings to secure sponsorships and grant funding and develop growth strategy for new and current corporate donors and giving program for local businesses.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate, advertising or sports marketing or sponsorship is ideal. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and research skills are essential. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, strategic, organized and highly computer literate. Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, donors, program participants, and other supporters. Deep commitment towards diversity, inclusion and equity. Tessitura experience is preferred. An undergraduate degree in public relations, communications, marketing or similar disciplines is strongly preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, additional hours as required.
