The Director of Scholarships will design, implement and manage central scholarship programs through the Office of Catholic Schools (OCS) in order to effectively display funds for need-based scholarships to families, subject to Archdiocesan and donor requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the forecasting, planning and budgeting for all scholarship programs;
Administer scholarships with the close coordination of central office colleagues, and scholarship review committees appointed to assist in the process.
Coordinate with the Office of Stewardship and Development (the Archdiocese’s fundraising arm) to ensure funding forecasts are maintained, and that all awards are made in compliance with donor requirements;
Partner with the Finance Department to ensure the accurate and timely budgeting, receipt, coding and distribution of funds.
Work with all these departments and others to seek continuous improvement of programs and inter-departmental requirements as defined.
Create and manage analysis and evaluation of potential school choice legislation based on tax credit bills at the state and federal level.
Assess and model the financial impact of the proposed bills on Archdiocesan families and schools, using actual school data to project the potential impact on Archdiocesan schools and the Archdiocesan system.
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
Five or more years of experience with administration and management of a program that required cross-functional collaboration. Ideally, experience in education or working with scholarship funds.
