Since 1956 the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has been dedicated to inspiring the Business Events Community with senior level networking and educational opportunities internationally.
With approximately 7,000 members and over 50,000 individual subscribers, PCMA is the world’s largest network of Business Event Strategists.
Headquartered in Chicago, PCMA have an inte...rnational reach with partners around the globe and a footprint within North America, Europe, and Middle East and Asia, with activities across 37 countries.
PCMA’s own signature educational and business networking event, Convening Leaders, takes place each January and has grown from six delegates in 1956 to more than 4,500 in 2016.
The multi award winning Convene magazine, published by PCMA since 1986, is the leading meetings industry publication for business event leaders and provides trusted opinion and educational content.
PCMA is a nonprofit Association, thus the structure of the organization is different from that of most companies. A Board of Directors elected by members manages the operations of PCMA. Members come together in a committee format to address various concerns and projects. It is the Directors, officers, committees, and staff who make the decisions that shape the future of PCMA.
