We are seeking an individual to join our membership department here at the Illinois CPA Society! Are you interested in the world of associations and nonprofit? Do you enjoy working with multiple volunteers and groups? The member outreach coordinator is responsible for supporting the Society initiatives. This includes support for many of our stakeholders, including young professionals, corporate finance contacts and women members, to name a few. The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) is a professional membership organization dedicated to enhancing the value of the CPA profession. Founded in 1903, ICPAS is one of the largest state CPA societies in the nation. We represent Illinois CPAs in public accounting and consulting, corporate accounting and finance, government and not-for-profit organizations as well as three affiliate member groups: students, educators and related finance professionals. Duties and Responsibilities
Event management including preparation of name badges and printed materials, logistical coordination, and on-site assistance for many of our events such as the Young Professionals Leadership Conference, Networking events, etc.
Provide administrative support and communication for outreach initiatives to multiple groups such as scheduling meetings, maintaining database of visit details, and preparing information packets about visit for executive office.
Assist with volunteer committee that selects award recipients. Solicit nominations, organize submissions for committee and assist with awards process.
Assist in marketing for key demographics and membership efforts including maintenance of online web presence, event promotions and membership retention and renewal campaign.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
1-2 years of marketing, association, program development or related experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent project management skills, organization and administrative support.
Ability to travel statewide 5-10% of the time.
Experience with committee/volunteer management is a plus.
Ability to work collegially with staff in other departments.
Has a valid driver’s license.
Can stand for longer periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with set-up of display table.
Some evening meetings required, about once a month.
