Launched in 2011 as a not-for-profit organization, UChicago Impact is one of four units that comprise the University of Chicago's Urban Education Institute (UEI). The three other units include: the UChicago Consortium on School Research (CSR), the Urban Teacher Education Program (UTEP), and the University of Chicago Charter School.

UChicago Impact currently works in more than 60 cities and 33 states — including some of the highest performing school systems and charter management organizations nationwide (e.g., KIPP, Uncommon Schools, Achievement First).
The Strategic Analytics Assistant will work closely with the Senior Manager of Technology and Design and other staff to provide support on communication between school clients and staff.
Duties will include both online and over the phone support to new and existing STEP Literacy Assessment system clientele. These responsibilities will be comprised of help desk support, data management, and database work. The STEP Technology and Design Assistant will also handle administrative duties including data entry in support of the STEP Data Management System support website. This is a full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours/week).
Qualified candidates must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, administration, education, mathematics, English or similar fields and a minimum of 4 years experience working in a business environment
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
A strong sense of organization, time management, and attention to detail
Proficiency with personal computers and basic software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with various project management tools
Excellent interpersonal skills
Previous experience with customer support efforts
Desire to problem-solve regularly, thoughtfully and creatively
Other typical work-related activities include:
Ability to handle public contact with courtesy, clarity, and diplomacy
Willingness to receive feedback on work and overall progress
Strong familiarity with data management, database and data entry work
Ability to manage a large number of customer service requests and follow issues through to resolution
Considerable skill in working both independently and as a team member
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to maximize productivity and effectiveness with minimal supervision
