WorldChicago seeks a full-time dynamic self-starter enthusiastic about citizen diplomacy and cultural exchange to lead our Professional Fellows programming and develop new program opportunities. This role is a key team member responsible for reaching out to many sectors of the Chicago community, with emphasis in the entrepreneurial sector, to develop strong programs to impact emerging leaders from around the world.

Programming Responsibilities: • Manage WorldChicago’s Professional Fellows Program with Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia & Herzegovina including host organization recruitment, home stay host recruitment, program execution and post program reporting. • Prepare grants for Professional Fellows program and quarterly reports • Plan reciprocal travel to the Balkans • Plan and implement IVLP and other exchanges as directed • Work with team to build pool of home stay hosts and continue on-going recruitment plan • Seek out grants directly from US Department of State for implementing new exchange programs • Develop new program opportunities for WorldChicago • Assist in preparing grant proposals as required • Attend and assist at WorldChicago fundraising, social, and cultural events • Manage interns as needed

Position Requirements: At least 3 to 5 years of work experience; international experience or international exchange experience required; bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree strongly preferred. Occasional travel required (1 to 3 times per year) and some evenings and weekends.
