The dental assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, provides direct patient care, performs administrative duties, and laboratory functions. High school diploma or equivalent and dental assistant certification. Submit resume and certificate.
State Board of Dental Examiners
one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant in a dentist's office.
Knowledge of the names and numbers of teeth and tooth surfaces. Knowledge of dental hygiene programs. Ability to carry out assigned duties and routine clinic functions. Ability to use dental x-ray equipment. Ability to maintain records. Ability to use the methods and techniques used in dental assistance to perform routine dental procedures. Ability to use equipment and instruments used in dental surgery and repair work.
Other Requirements: Saturday hours, evening hours and/or may be required to work at a different site. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
