We are now hiring for a full-time Program Aide to join our DuPage team!
The Program Aide assists with program activities in the classroom during the day as assigned and establishes positive relationships with the children and other staff in his/her assigned classroom. The Program Aide also helps to carry out daily program duties by assisting the teacher, providing food preparation using approved sanitation methods, and ensures the safety of the children.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Establishes positive relationships with children and other staff in his/her assigned classroom.
Assist with Program activities in the classroom during the day as assigned.
Helps carry out daily program by assisting Teacher and Teacher Assistant as needed, including interactive supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
Assist teacher and teacher assistant guide children in achieving individual goals and assess children’s individual strengths and needs.
Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment at all times.
Provide food preparation and food storage using approved sanitation methods.
Clean up food service equipment and storage area using approved sanitation methods.
Ability to carry out some physical duties, such as lifting and carrying.
Program aide follows the school schedule for length of school year.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to effectively work with diverse individuals and groups.
Sensitivity to and respect for the needs of children and families, including those with disabilities.
Ability to carry out some physical activities such as lifting and carrying.
Working knowledge of computers.
Must be Bilingual in Spanish.
