Director of Benefits and Compensation (Total Rewards)

We are currently seeking a Director of Total Rewards to develop and implement the Total Rewards programs by implementing creative compensation strategies and optimizing our suite of benefits. This person will also act as a Project Manager for Talent Management issues related to Mergers & Acquisitions.
The Director, Total Rewards will develop a competitive compensation strategy and program to attract and retain top talent through various research, benchmarking and creative compensation practices. This person will need to effectively communicate with leadership to ensure there is a clear understanding of compensation processes.
This person collaborates with the team to develop the overall strategy for all agency benefit programs. Using “out of the box” thinking, the Director, Total Rewards, will enhance the comprehensive benefits programs in order to remain an employer of choice
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related business field required.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive benefits and compensation with a strong operational focus.
Excellent listening skills coupled with an outstanding ability to analyze conflict and recommend effective solutions aligned to maximize outcomes.
Effective team-oriented leadership skills. Able to frame, confront, and present issues to any audience and make tough decisions while collaborating with team members
Proven ability to build relationships, positively influence business partners, and achieve results by providing consistent, reliable, high quality support to the organization.
Ability to work independently, juggle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, and capable of flexing solutions to changing demands.
Experience with providing on-going feedback and coaching at all levels of the organization to increase organizational effectiveness.
Exceptionally strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills; proven success in effectively sharing new ideas and opportunities with team, peers, and business leaders.
