Manage the daily operations of the Women’s Board and facilitate the Board’s efforts to reach its fundraising goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage the daily operations of the Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo.
With the Senior Director of Donor Relations work closely with the Women’s Board President and her Executive Committee on strategic planning.
Plan and oversee Zoo Ball, the zoo’s largest fundraiser. Work with Women’s Board and internal and external vendors to implement the event and make all preparations as necessary.
Oversee sponsorship efforts for the Women’s Board fundraising events by supporting Board members as they secure underwriting from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Support the Women’s Board members to cultivate event donors and identify new funding sources.
Manage and implement all Women’s Board communications and meetings. Attend all general Board meetings, and committee meetings, as possible.
Working with Women’s Board leadership, plan and implement other Women’s Board events and activities such as ZooLA and the annual Science Celebration.
Coordinate and implement the Women’s Board annual giving effort.
Manage the Women’s Board operating and event budgets.
Serve as liaison between Women’s Board and all zoo departments.
Hire and supervise a summer intern.
In conjunction with the Senior Director of Donor Relations, supervise the Donor Relations Assistant

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational skills essential.
Strong administrative skills required.
Ability to interact courteously and respectfully with supervisors, fellow employees, volunteers, zoo visitors and general public.
Proficient in Outlook (create/edit emails and appointments), Word (create/edit documents), Excel (create/edit documents), Power Point (create/edit presentations), and strong math skills required with all financial activity.
Candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Five or more years’ experience with a donor board preferred.
Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time
Ability to operate and safely drive electric carts
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to lift and move boxes and parcels of up to 45 lbs
Available to work evenings and weekends necessary.
