Position Duties: Counsel victims of sexual violence, promote use of sexual assault services by Spanish speaking clients, provide direct services in Spanish as needed, and assist with the 24-hour response for crisis intervention, as needed. MA/MS required.
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or a related field or experience in the areas of education, social work, or a related field.
Interest in women’s issues
Complete forty (40) hours of ICASA approved sexual assault training
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Good computer skills
No physical or mental impairments which would prevent, or render impossible, the performance of the duties of this position
Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials
Ability to work flexible hours
Valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage
