Under the supervision of the Director of TIP, the Senior Campaign Associate is responsible for the administration and management of one of the large Trade Divisions, which entails working closely with the Division’s volunteer leadership on directing fundraising campaigns including the Annual Division Dinner or any other fundraising event, leadership development, and any other programming and outreach events associated with the Division. He or she will also participate in any cross-divisional fundraising or leadership development initiatives within the Trades Division as well as fulfill the responsibilities of a Donor Officer.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the TIP Division, including managing the Division’s volunteer leadership and working with them on implementing programs and initiatives geared toward fundraising, outreach, and leadership development.
Performs responsibilities of a Donor Officer including: conducting research on current and potential donors, documenting noteworthy information on donors, building relationships with new donors, maintaining relationships with current donors, and working with other JUF departments to move donors throughout the Federation system.
Performs responsibilities related to the administration of the Division including generating fundraising reports and working with assigned clerical staff to handle necessary correspondence and maintain timely & accurate records.
Works with various departments within and outside of Campaign to provide general support for all other campaign events, phonothons, and special events.
Keeps up with current events related to the general or Jewish Chicago community as well as noteworthy industry related trends and hot topics by reading Jewish publication, industry news and conducting ongoing discussions with donors.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fundraising institution preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to be a self-starter and handle multiple projects.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
Knowledge of Jewish community, culture, heritage, traditions and Jewish Communal Services preferred.
