This position is responsible for providing education, training and support, both on and off the job site, to individuals enrolled in Employment Services. This position provides education and training to persons served through the least intrusive systematic task instruction in integrated employment environments while networking with the family and employer to promote the developments of natural supports. This position also provides education to employers and others directly involved with the individual regarding relevant issues (accommodations, disability awareness, etc.).
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree preferred. * Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. * Excellent oral and written communication. * Excellent organizational skills. * Excellent in building and maintaining good relationships with staff, clients, and the community. * Report writing/data collection skills. * Observation and problem solving skills. * Must be willing and able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary. * Previous experience in the following areas preferred: light janitorial (cleaning), retail, and food service. * Valid Illinois driver's license with a good driving record. * Proficiency in the use of computers, software applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, with good typing skills.
