The Family Institute (TFI) at Northwestern University, a leading behavioral health system that integrates clinical service, education, and research, is seeking aDirector of Couple Services to lead a dynamic team of talented clinicians and become an integral part of the leadership structure of Clinical Services at The Family Institute.
The Couple Service Director’s fundamental responsibility is to build a thriving, connected, well-functioning clinical team and programs. The Couple Services Directors provides leadership with respect to:
Talent Management, which includes:
Identify staffing needs, develop and implement staff recruiting plan
Be a conduit for reciprocal communication that (1) supports TFI initiatives and polices (2) represents clinicians’ needs and concerns
Support and mentor young clinicians
Identify and facilitate professional development needs
Organizational and Financial Planning, which includes:
Works with CCO to establish and maintain annual financial plan
Make recommendations re: teams member’s annual plan and raises
Tracks and supports team to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
Lead priority projects to advance the strategic plan for the organization
Clinical effectiveness, which includes:
Support Coordinators & Program Directors to develop and improve clinical programs
Work with Director of marketing to evaluate & implement strategies to drive referrals
Interface with Operations re: administrative needs and to track and extract data for continuous improvement
Conduct annual evaluations and guide clinicians to develop their skills
Maintains thriving clinical practice
External Relations, which includes:
Act as TFI Ambassadors to advance the mission, vision, and current initiatives
Represent TFI to external relations, outside stakeholders, referral sources, clinical partners, Board members, etc.
Work with Director of External relations to assess fund raising opportunities and/or external facing PR and brand advancement
Minimum Hiring Specifications:
Doctoral or Master’s degree in a license-eligible discipline, with a valid professional license
Minimum 8 years post graduate experience (post doc internship & fellowship applies) or comparable experience in a relevant discipline
Experience as a psychotherapist with an established referral base, as well as experience mentoring and supervising clinical staff
