Outpatient Counseling Supervisor - The outpatient counseling program of One Hope United located in Gurnee, IL has a full time supervisor position open. Ideal candidate will have strong supervisory skills and have previous experience working with families and youth in their home environment. Full time M-F with after hours on call to support staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will supervise 7 therapist who work with children and adults who have experienced trauma, youth in the care of DCFS, and children with sexual behavior problems and their families in an outpatient setting. The program provides individual, family, and group counseling as well as parent coaching and parent groups.
Training may be provided in Attachment Self-Regulation and Competency, Nurturing Parenting Program, and WRAP around. The position involves working as a member of the team with other supervisors in the building to create a positive office culture and supportive environment to direct service staff.
The successful candidate will have good writing skills, organizational skills, flexibility, and training in an evidence based trauma treatment, preferably ARC. The supervisor manages multiple programs with varied funder requirements.
Familiarity with Medicaid services is a plus. A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other human service field is required, a license in the state of Illinois is required. 20% of driving required each week.
Masters or better in Human Services Discipline or related field.
Masters of Social Work or better.
3-5 years’ Experience
Progressive responsibility related to social services and clinical license for CBFS A and or 5 years of progressive responsibility related to social services.
