Under the direction of the Director, the Processing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the processing and storages of all LIHEAP and fuel Funds applications as well as the case management of the PIPP Program. Processing Manager works closely with the Energy Services Fiscal Operations Manager and the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure program policies and protocols are met. Processing Manager will adjudicate application issues, develop reports and provide recommendations and actions for process improvement.
Oversee post-intake process of the various LIHESP, and other program application. including bundling, verification, enrollment, recertification, case management, filing, storage reporting and related stages.
Work with supervisors to oversee staff scheduling, development and performance of all processing, filing, case management and other team employees.
Ensure programmatic and financial compliance and reporting requirements are met.
Develop appropriate production reports for each functional area.
Work with Manager of Fiscal Operations and Quality Assurance on recommendation and actions necessary for effective program management.
Participate in efforts to update and maintain program policy and internal procedure manual.
Set and monitor operational and/or performance goals that are aggressive, achievable and long-term for staff.
Frequent travel within Cook County. Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Social Work, Public Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of five years of successful managerial experience in a not-for-profit setting.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of LIHEAP.net and/or STARS a plus.
Knowledge of Federal and State program and financial regulations.
