The Senior Manager of Prevention oversees and manages the implementation, evaluation and expansion of AADE’s National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). Ensures that program funder’s requirements for planning and implementation are met and assists with grant compliance and reporting. Responsible for working toward long-term sustainability of program, with goal of continuance independent of initial sources of funding. Ensures that milestones are met for development and submission of plans for launching DPP in multiple states, marketing and communications strategies, and overall program sustainability beyond approved funding schedule. Works collaboratively with the CDC and other partner organizations to implement a data collection system for DPP Units to utilize in order to collect and submit participant data according to program standards. Acts as subject matter expert on Prevention and Prediabetes both for AADE stakeholders, and existing and future contracting and funding opportunities for AADE. Oversight and responsibility for the Program budget; working with AADE Finance and Accounting staff to ensure that funding is allocated and spent according to plan.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required, advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in developing and overseeing provision of community-based services; preferably in area of healthcare or public education.
Prior experience supervising staff and work teams required.
Prior experience managing grant-funded programming including development of grant submissions, data reporting and compliance oversight.
Must be experienced in conducting program reviews and audits, tracking outcomes, and evaluating program progress reports.
Previous experience developing policies and procedures required.
