Implement and manage the daily operations of all JA education programs for a designated geographic/market area in DuPage County. Responsible for JA classroom and student outreach goals in your designated area.
Organize the recruitment, placement, training, and management of volunteers from companies and community organizations.
Oversee implementation of classroom programs taught by JA volunteers, including planning and executing a variety of events at area schools. Teach JA programs when necessary.
Responsible for regular and accurate data entry and management in JA database system and Excel relating to programs, volunteers, educators and companies.
Maintain program quality and provide exceptional hands-on service to all volunteers, executive partners, and educators. Increase public awareness of JA programming.
Responsible for relationship building and stewardship with pre-existing and new corporate sponsors and education partners to maintain and grow participation in JA programs.
Develop and secure volunteer and funding opportunities with pre-existing corporate and community partners, as well as some new business development.
Assist with divisional fundraising activities and events.
Prepare for and assist Director with JA Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (required). Seeking someone with proven oral and written communication and public speaking skills; excellent interpersonal, organization, and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, problem solve, and take initiative on tasks. Looking for someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, and creative. Experience in education, non-profit or business preferred. Strongly prefer immediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and database or constituent relationship management system.
Candidate must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and adequate vehicle transportation to meet the responsibilities of the position. Required to lift and carry light weight of 25-50 pounds.
