Coordinates and executes the administrative tasks and support functions associated with the fundraising activities of the Development Office with the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and exemplary customer service
Major role functions:
Maintain and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Development Office
Provide administrative support to the Vice President which includes donor stewardship, campaigns, special events, promotional marketing and volunteer relations on a project by project basis
Under the VP’s guidance, be a point of contact for donors and volunteers
Assist in growing participants and donors for all special events
Provide administrative support that includes but not limited to mail-merge, labeling, spreadsheets or mailings and coordinating marketing efforts with designer and printer as well as other responsibilities as assigned
In collaboration with the VP help secure event booth sponsors, participants and donors for special events
Enter donor information in Donor Perfect and pull reports as needed
In conjunction with Administrative Assistant acknowledge donors gifts with a letterhead acknowledgement/IRS info attached
Assist with solicitation letters, proposals, and stewardship packages
Promote Freedom Golf Association awareness opportunities; events, golf stores, etc.
Develop, run, and analyze periodic reports on fundraising for Vice President
Provide administrative support to Vice President as assigned
Will work with Vice President to establish benchmark goals with existing fundraising calendar and special event participation
Promote FGA’s special events by ensuring signs/flyers are posted in identified areas that will also include asking for donations as assigned by Vice President
Attend staff and event meetings
Perform other related duties as assigned
B.A./B.S. from an accredited University with GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to exercise appropriate level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with information of a highly confidential nature
Must be confident and able to cold-call on small businesses to make donation and put up advertising for special events
Detail oriented with desire to be successful with project management and the ability to work independently and efficiently in solving problems within a deadline driven environment
Experience with Microsoft Office, Donor Perfect or similar, Google Docs, Google Calendars, and familiarity with Base-Camp
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research, compile, and summarize data for reports and donor research
Must have a passion to help those who live with a disability
Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Freedom Golf Association (FGA) is a charitable 501 (C) 3 organization whose mission is to "bring joy and a sense of freedom to the special needs community (wounded veterans, physically and intellectually challenged individuals) through their inclusion in the game of golf".
Since our founding in mid 2012, FGA has brought the "magic" of golf to this community though over 2000 lessons wit...h over 5,400 participant hours of golf instruction, attendance at major golf tournaments (Encompass, BMW), and "Get Out and Play" golf events.
