Our Quality Improvement Department played a key role in supporting program staff and leadership in achieving this honor - by supporting a Continuous Quality Improvement process that helps to ensure that clients are receiving the highest quality services and that programs never stop expanding their capacity for self-reflection, new learning, and growth.
The Quality Improvement Associate works directly with program staff, assisting them in meeting contractual, regulatory, and accreditation requirements – but that is only the beginning of this critical position on the agency’s Corporate team. As the Q.I. Associate, you will help inspire Child Welfare, Counseling, and other teams of staff to look beyond standards and uncover new opportunities for providing extraordinary services. Your tenacity and enthusiasm for excellence will encourage tenacity and enthusiasm in others – helping to ensure the best possible client outcomes. This position requires an attention to both quantitative and qualitative detail, a desire to be a supportive resource to others, and an ability to view service provision through a trauma-informed, client-centered lens.
Conduct quality reviews of client records, including monitoring for compliance with standards and quality of service delivery.
Closely review critical incidents and facilitate risk management meetings.
Conduct environmental health and safety reviews of various program sites.
Engage in activities to secure and maintain agency licensure and accreditation.
Serve as a resource to program staff and conduct trainings as necessary to promote compliance with standards and enhancement of service quality.
Participate as a member of the quality improvement team to provide expertise on compliance issues and service quality.
Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
Minimum of three years of program experience providing services to children and families.
At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Detailed knowledge of one or more programs required.
Work experience in Quality Improvement a plus.
Ability to travel to program sites throughout the Chicago Metro area, as well as Central and Northern Illinois. Typical travel will be day trips, although occasional overnight trips may be required. Estimated travel is 30-40%.
