Neumann Family Services is a large social service agency located on the North Side of Chicago providing day and residential services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
Maintains individual budgets for all Developmentally Disabled (DD) Residential Clients of the agency
Submits Turnaround budgets immediately upon DD residential move from one CILA to another
Tracks due dates for residential clients annual "ICAP" scores, monitors the progress and completion of revised ICAP scores, and submits turnaround budgets to the State as appropriate
Prepares revised estimated budgets for DD Residential clients upon submission of turnaround budgets as described above, including those residential clients whose budgets may change as a result of the increase/decrease in the occupancy of residential locations (CILA's)
Compares actual labor hours expended for Residential members requiring 53D and 53R services to billings received for these services and alerts management to the potential need for petitioning the state for increase individual budgets
Tracks service hours provided for utilization under codes 31U, 37U, 38U as well as 53R and 53D (separate add-ons), to forecast hours to determine remaining service/billing hours available month to month
Tracks Medicaid billing for those Residential Members who are dual diagnosed (both DD and Mental illness diagnosis)
Assist the Billing Specialist in obtaining prior authorizations and in monitoring utilization of authorized service hours for members in MCOs that require such utilization management
Collaborates with Residential Management, Quality Assurance and other members of the Finance Team
Completes special projects as assigned by the CEO and CFO
Bachelors degree required; business discipline preferred.
Familiarity with State Billing methodologies for developmentally disabled clients.
Highly organized,punctual, deadline oriented.
Intermediate Excel skills preferred; working knowledge of Excel required.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills required.
