Summary: The Poetry Foundation is seeking a part-time permissions coordinator with extensive database administration experience to assist in obtaining and processing permissions for poems and other editorial content for use on the Foundation's website, in its print publications and for other programs.
Job details include but are not limited to:
Track permissions requests and rights information permissions database, including entering data about contracts, rights holders, and poem sources.
Coordinate payment of permissions contracts and poem building process in our content management system.
Develop on-going relationships with permissions staff at poetry publishing houses.
Act as a point of contact for publishers, journalists, and editors inquiring about permissions.
Special projects as assigned.
Strong Filemaker database skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and assignments simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and maintain regular work schedule.
Strong project management and organization skills.
Familiarity and interest in contemporary poetry.
Excellent phone and customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
