Develop a Recruitment Plan including the identification of the target markets, analysis of the target market, and the development of strategies to deliver YOS’s recruitment message to the target market.
Recruit foster parents through advertising, marketing & social media outlets
Works individually and in conjunction with other staff and current foster parents to develop and implement an on-going recruitment campaign to attract people interested in becoming foster parents.
Conduct community outreach ; ie. churches, schools, community centers, service groups, recreation facilities, businesses, etc.
Responsible for immediate follow-up to all inquiries from prospective foster parents.
Pursues leads and inquiries from parties interested in becoming foster parents using phone, email, direct contact, and mail.
Serves as key liaison with the community and with other organizations, attending events, and regular participation at community meetings. This includes relationship building with current & prospective foster parents, local businesses, news media, churches, community volunteers and leaders. Coordinate, plan, schedule, facilitate or oversee speaking engagements at community/civic organizations as needed. Coordinate exhibits and special events. Identify, coordinate and participate in recruitment opportunities such as foster parent/child welfare conferences, trainings, and community events. Coordinate local advertising and writing of press releases and feature articles for publications.
Plan and execute at least two community outreach events per month; ie. Meet and greets, presentations, etc.
Organize and effect two large scale community recruitment events per quarter
Perform street flyering weekly
Manage marketing/sales/public relations budget with guidelines. Monitor competitors’ foster parent recruitment and advertising activities.
Establish positive and working relationships with prospective families.
Connect interested applicants to YOS’s Licensing Specialist.
Follow up with prospective foster families throughout the training and certification process.
Track all inquiries by individuals/families interested in providing foster care.
Track progress on all families who participate in the foster care certification and licensure process.
A minimum of a high school degree
Experience in networking/outreach is preferred.
Experience/knowledge in foster care recruitment is a plus.
Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
Ability to maintain a flexible, non-traditional schedule.
You must have your own vehicle to use for work purposes as well as have liability insurance.
