Are you looking to advance your career in social service and become a leader? Do you have direct care experience but want to do something more? If so, then Trinity has a great opportunity for you to gain management experience as a Team Leader supporting two CILA group homes.
A Team Leader is responsible for supervising and overseeing up to two residential homes for people with developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses. Some of the responsibilities include: lead a team of staff working directly in the home, ensure the individuals participate as a member of the Community Support Team in the development and implementation of assigned individuals' service plans, encourage individuals to engage in community activities/events, ensure a positive normalized home environment, assigns work schedules, reviews staff performance, assist in the hiring process for the direct care staff, works collaboratively with the staff at supportive employment/day program sites, and represent the Agency in leadership and administrative activities.
This is a full time (exempt) entry level supervisory position which requires working at least 2 late night shifts per week (1pm-9:30pm) participating in a weekend emergency on-call rortation and work 1 weekend per month. The Team Leader will be on call Monday through Friday for 2 residential sites that they supervise.
Salary is in the mid to upper 20's.
Some of the physical demands include: standing, walking, sitting, using hand to finger, handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
A qualified applicant should have a high school diploma or GED. Additionally the candidate should have knowledge, training in planning, organizing and carrying out community-based habilitation activities as well as developing and providing education and direction to assigned staff.
