Outstanding opportunity to join the city’s oldest museum, with the newest building, as Graphic/Multi Media Designer. Join the team in the exciting task of advancing the museum – its programs, exhibitions, events and partnerships.
Reporting to the Vice President and Curator of Museum Experience, the Graphic/Multi Media Designer will have responsibility for developing and overseeing the production of visual materials for museum exhibits. Working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, the Graphic/Multi Media Designer will maintain the Museum’s brand while overseeing all graphic and exhibit design from concept through completion.
Design and execute a variety of visual communications for exhibit, print and web based media
Produce renderings, concept visuals and ideation materials for exhibit development
Produce motion graphics/comics, animations, scenic projections and environmental images for exhibitions
Concept and development of graphic elements and user interface for computer based interactives
Oversee and manage design related contractors or freelancers.
Coordinate project schedules, maintain productive workflow and meet deadlines.
Manage and work within strict budgets, overseeing the graphics portion of large-scale, on-going project budgets.
Manage multi-department projects when appropriate.
Communicate with outside vendors for pricing and production.
