The Financial Manager is responsible for the financial and accounting activities of the organization including monthly close activities, budget preparation and outlook projections, financial statement analyses, financial support for grant applications and reporting, analyses for the external audit, and reporting to the board of directors.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Prepare accounting entries and manage daily accounting operations
Monitor and analyze accounting data and financial statements
Manage cash flow and liquidity
Perform analysis and reporting for grants
Prepare, submit and track invoices for multiple programs
Prepare annual budget and update ongoing outlook
Coordinate annual external audit and complete analysis, as needed
Prepare and submit tax reports as required
Act as liaison for insurance requirements
Perform miscellaneous analysis as needed
Knowledge of accounting standards, laws and regulations
Competence with financial statement analysis
Proficiency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, or the initiative to learn
