North Shore Country Day School seeks a Communications Associate with strong social media, website management, writing, video and photography skills.
You will play an integral role as part of this three-person team, working together to implement strategic communications plans. The full-time position will begin immediately and reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
This multimedia specialist is a skilled individual who has expertise in:
Social media: Plan, manage and grow the School’s social media presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter; use these and other social media tools to engage current and new audiences, as well as to promote the work and messaging of the School.
Website/Email: Manage posting of fresh content weekly on the website, update website and portal pages, and add new pages as necessary; manage the distribution of emails sent to parents, students, faculty, staff and trustees.A working knowledge of basic HTML is desirable.
Advertising: Create ads for online advertising campaigns, integrating messaging strategy. Use Facebook ads to strategically promote and build awareness of school.
Graphic Design: Responsible for design of all digital media, working with freelance producers (viewbooks) when needed, and keeping everything consistent with the School’s graphic standards. Assist in proofreading of publications, emails and online communications.
Newsletter writing: Write, lay out and distribute monthly e-newsletter.
Project management: Practice disciplined organization and project management skills to complete projects on time.
Video: Record, edit, single-handedly produce compelling videos for a range of audiences, purposes and message.
Photography: Take photos in a range of environments including in the classroom, on the athletic fields and in the auditorium.
Bachelor’s degree — multimedia, journalism or film major preferred
Thorough working knowledge of social media management, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, etc.; Google Analytics and SEO
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
