Women Employed is seeking a Development Intern to support its Development staff beginning in September through late 2017 or early 2018. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in fundraising and non-profit organizations. S/he will participate in staff meetings, organizational events, and other learning opportunities.

Supporting the Development staff in day-to-day activities including composing correspondence, handling logistics, and preparing materials for external activities;
Assisting with updating and maintaining donor database files in Salesforce;
Conducting new donor research projects;
Communicating with donors (thank-you calls, correspondence);
Handling preparation and communications related to group meetings, donor events, and related activities;
Managing specific projects as needed;
Working with volunteers for intermittent administrative projects.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy; excellent written and oral communications skills; highly organized; solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfort with databases, with Salesforce experience a plus; medium to advanced level of computer literacy; enrolled in an undergraduate college/university.
