We are a not-for-profit agency caring for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in residential homes and attending our day program.
Our Residential (RT) and Developmental (DT) Trainer DSP's teach, provide support and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities residing in group homes(RT) and those who attend our Day Center (DT).
Both the Residential and the Developmental Trainers are responsible for:
Teaching, supervising, and promoting client independence for clients living in group homes and in the day program; and teaching clients daily living skills at the day center.
Arranging for or providing client transportation and supervising client outings as assigned.
Advocating and protecting clients' health, safety, welfare and personal well-being.
Exercise good judgment and patience in working with clients.
Maintaining timely and accurate records of client's activities, medical records, etc.
Effectively communicating with clients, staff, managers and client guardians/family.
Plan and present materials for scheduled client classroom training (DT).
Complying with all applicable work rules, policies, procedures, accrediting and/or licensing and certifications.
Implement behavior intervention techniques.
Maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
Perform client service related duties and activities as assigned.
If helping people comes second nature to you, we have a part time position in our Day Program assisting a young man with intellectual and physical disabilities. Monday - Friday 10am-2pm (Hours and days are flexible)
Other schedules are also available in our Group Homes.

High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to physically assist mobility impaired individuals and pass the post-offer functional screening test if required for the position.
Valid driver's license, auto insurance with required minimum $100,000/$300,000 liability limits and vehicle to use on company business if needed.
Personal telephone (home or cell). Be registered as a Developmental Disabilities Aide and be approved by our agency nurse to administer medications within three months of employment.
Employment contingent upon passing all applicable Background Checks and Health Registries.
Additional Salary Information: Salary dependent upon experience and training. Several PT positions are available. CNA's encouraged to apply!
