A pro at the grants process, you have successfully built relationships with private and public funders, written complex grants, and worked collaboratively with the program staff to convey their objectives. With experience managing people and projects you are ready for a leadership role where your focus is on supporting a team of professionals to manage a diverse and growing grant portfolio of over $5 million'and all external communications.
The Night Ministry (TNM) is a Chicago-based organization that works to provide housing, health care, and human connection to members of our community struggling with poverty or homelessness. Nationally recognized, with a strong board, diverse and growing revenue, and a passionate team of staff and volunteers, TNM has bold plans for the future.
The fundraising team is an integral part of TNM, warmly inviting people and organizations to participate through their financial support. With a committed donor base and track record of success, the new Assistant Vice President will be a lynchpin in achieving the ambitious strategic plan. This is not a turn-around; this is a chance to be part of a high performing, mission driven team making a difference every day. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Assistant VP will lead a team of three professionals to achieve grant strategy and communication goals.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned fundraiser experienced in both the private and public grant making process, with significant experience managing people and projects. While serious about the work, the right candidate knows how to have fun, build relationships, and will be committed to the mission and values of TNM.
