TCA Health, Inc., NFP, a mission driven, federally qualified health center, dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of the far South side, is seeking to hire a Clinical Nurse Supervisor. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor analyzes patient flow problems and assists in instituting Corrective Actions and monitors clinical staff performance in compliance with established time frames. The coordinator regularly interfaces with providers, managers and staff to assist to facilitate communication and improvement activities.
Day to day supervision of Medical Assistants
Oversee and administer ongoing training of clinical support staff.
Establishes, reviews, monitors and updates medical standards, clinical protocols and operational policies and procedures.
Interpret policies, rules and regulations of State and Federal Government (BPHC, CLIA, OSHA, JHACO, etc.) and ensure compliance within areas of responsibility in coordination with the initiatives led by the Medical Director.
Assess the patient; collect and document the patient's current health status and medical history.
Answer and refer telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated.
Plan/Implement; set priorities for nursing action in a logical sequence according to patient's needs and formulate a plan of care by the appropriate selection of Nurse Practice Standards.
Evaluate; perform ongoing assessment and revise plan of care based on new data and patient's condition.
Document accurate and ongoing assessment of patient status; patient care which reflects nursing intervention, patient response to care provided, patient needs, problems, capabilities, limitations, and progress toward goals; and includes evidence of appropriate patient/significant other teaching, and the understanding of these instructions is noted in the medical record.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LPN or RN
Associate degree in Nursing required,
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Current Illinois Registered Nurse License and CPR Certification.
Two years of experience in nursing preferred, especially in a community health center setting.
