Aspire Kids is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist for our Hillside location. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with an exceptional physical therapy and multidisciplinary team in a family-centered model while providing evaluations and therapy for infants, toddlers, and children with developmental delays and disabilities. Knowledge of typical and atypical development, assessment, and intervention strategies specific to these age groups as well as the ability to work well with families and team members is required.
Conduct evaluations/assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy for children, as assigned.
Write comprehensive evaluation/assessment reports, progress summaries, and daily progress notes for children, as assigned.
Complete billing and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Integrate parents, family members, and key caregivers into all aspects of the provision of services.
Provide parent/caregiver education for optimal follow through on therapeutic activities.
Maintain communication with team members, parents, caregivers, physicians, outside agencies, and others regarding program/treatment changes, children’s needs and progress.
Provide in-service trainings for parents, caregivers, and staff regarding current research and trends in physical therapy, as requested or desired.
Assist staff with outreach development and community education projects, as requested.
Work cooperatively with Child and Family Connections offices.
Ensure that authorizations for services are received and accurate prior to the initiation of services.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MS or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois.
Extensive knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and treatment of children.
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports and routine business correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from families, employees, and the general public.
Ability to accommodate families’ schedules through a flexible work schedule.
Good knowledge of PC operations and software (word processing, database, and spreadsheet).
Some knowledge of the methods and practices of sound records management; ability to prepare and maintain records.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with employees at all levels, families, and the general public.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, palpate, and facilitate movement; bend or stoop; talk, hear, and observe.
The majority of work requires moderate physical exertion and may include lifting greater than 20 pounds.
Duties are performed primarily in family homes and/or other community settings and the agency office. Work areas are restricted to non-smoking.
