Erie Family Health Center is looking for an organized and upbeat individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Referrals Department! This individual should be resourceful and able to find resolutions to any issues that may come up within the referral process. This is an exciting opportunity to gain even more knowledge in the health care field and managed care.
Process and manage all external referrals until completion
Assists patients in establishing appointments as needed and communicates instructions conveyed by referral source related to appointments.
Collaborate with hospitals, managed care organizations, patients and medical providers regarding referrals, appointments and result status
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Completion of one of the following programs strongly preferred, but not required:
Medical Office Assistant
Prior physician’s office experience preferred, but not required
Experienced in utilizing a computer and Microsoft Products
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, required
Erie’s Referrals Team works an 8 hour shift between Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, no evenings or weekends!
