WE is seeking a Development Coordinator to assist the Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to apply her/his organizational, technology, and communications skills to provide administrative support to our development staff
Support the development staff in day-to-day activities including donation entry, acknowledgements, composing correspondence, handling logistics and preparing materials for external activities.
Become proficient in the organization’s Salesforce database system, including entering data, generating lists for mailings, preparing acknowledgements and utilizing and creating reports.
Understand and frequently use various technology platforms related to fundraising and sending mass email communication.
Conduct research projects related to prospective donors.
Manage specific projects and general support related to annual special event.
Support all development campaign activities, and be excited to gain knowledge about the intersection of data and fundraising strategy.
Contribute to the development of messages and materials to attract and engage new supporters and deepen the involvement of current supporters.
Provide support for all fundraising and some outreach events, including research, scheduling, logistics, and materials.
Represent the organization externally at events and on the phone.
Undertake monthly reconciliations with the finance staff.

Equivalent work-life experience and/or a Bachelor’s Degree; one-two years of work or internship experience a plus.
Ability to work in a team and communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Energetic, positive can-do attitude.
Experience and/or aptitude for working with data systems, i.e., databases, fundraising, action-taking, mass email; knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft products a plus, including Excel
Willingness to undertake administrative and data-related tasks while learning the development work of a nonprofit.
Ability to learn to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
Problem-solving skills; ability to work independently, yet knowing when to ask for assistance.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy, especially with data.
Able to work full-time, with some evenings and weekends required.
