Immediate assessment and referral of incoming clients calls for counseling services by phone. Ability to assess need for counseling services, including level of severity, suicide/homicide risk, level of intervention needed and match to appropriate level of care and service provider. Knowledge of crisis intervention. Has knowledge of multiple payor and provider systems, i.e. managed care, community mental health, hospital, DCFS, etc. Basic knowledge of DSM V. Provides case management services to individuals and families requesting services in the community and at Oak Grove Apartments. Provides services to clients experiencing domestic violence, including referral and advocacy. May require some flexibility in work hours per client demand.
Preferred Requirements: MSW or Masters in Behavioral health or related field. Three years in mental behavioral health or directly related services. Must be good on the computer and familiar with MS software.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor degree in Behavioral health or related field. Two years in behavioral health or directly related services. Must have knowledge of computer system.
