Administrative Support, Case Management/Social Services
The Citizens Utility Board (CUB), a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization, has an immediate opening for an office assistant to provide administrative support and take on the role of “floater” within several departments in our organization. This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a part-time position with varied administrative responsibilities in a fun, friendly setting and for a great advocacy organization.
Primary Responsibilities include fulfilling reception duties—answering the phones, greeting visitors, mailing and shipping packages; assisting the consumer advocacy department in serving Illinois utility consumers—developing knowledge of utility regulations, responding to consumer inquiries, entering complaint and inquiry information in database; and assisting with expense-accounting duties.
The ideal candidate would have a proven commitment to public interest work and be proficient in MS Office. Experience in cloud-based computing, a plus. Candidates must have some college education, have excellent written and verbal skills, friendly disposition, patient, hard-working, detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
Additional Salary Information: Please note this part-time, hourly position includes paid holidays, but does NOT include any other benefits.
