The Development Specialist of Annual Giving and Events responsibilities include building and generating new donors, stewardship of current annual fund gifts from individuals and assisting in the encouragement of financial support, participation in Geneva related events securing gifts up to $5,000.00. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of the annual giving plan that presents the Geneva Foundation’s philanthropic needs to Presbyterian Homes residential communities, family members, leadership and employees. The successful candidate will help to ensure the proper care and development of the Foundation’s history, culture, reputation and image.
Three to five years fund raising, public relations, special events coordination experience a plus
Genuine interest in a fund raising career and an appreciation for the elderly.
Must be very organized and a self-starter.
Ability to follow through on assignments and works independently to completion.
Possess enthusiasm, mature judgment; organizational skills and the ability to successfully plan the work and implement that plan are essential.
Excellent communication skills, written, oral and visual
Exceptionally accurate in spelling, grammar, punctuation and in preparing factual materials
Computer literacy understanding and use of Microsoft Office Suite and Raiser’s Edge
Maintains strict confidentiality
Valid driver’s license and car required to complete errands and travel to Presbyterian Homes’ other communities
