We are now hiring for a full-time Child Parent Center Mentor to join our Learning and Wellness CenterTeam!
Essential Job Functions:
Manages relationships with partners, parents and other stakeholders.
Provides support and resources to the Parent Resource Teacher (PRT) and School-Community Representative (SCR) reflective of the comprehensive needs of the program and parents served.
Attends regular meetings with stakeholders to receive updates on collaboration and the alignment of curriculum and parent program across grades.
Establishes a system for weekly communication with Parent Resource Teachers.
Reports staffing updates to Metropolitan Family Services Team.
Works in collaboration with Fidelity Coach to ensure that PRT and SCR professional development is taking place.
Collaborates with the teaching team to support the effective use of the PRT and SCR.
Interfaces with outside organizations on behalf of overall project.
Develops a plan to maintain/increase student attendance and parent participation.
Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the job description.
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field
Five years’ experience in delivery or administration of early childhood programs, including Child Parent Centers.
Knowledge of Illinois Early Learning and Head Start performance standards, regulations and policies.
Prior teaching experience in an early childhood or elementary setting.
Familiarity with educational trends, specifically in parent involvement and engagement strategies.
