We are now hiring for a full-time Early Childhood Education Director to join our Midway Children’s Center Team!
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure compliance with Head Start and Preschool for All contracts and additional funders, NAEYC accreditation standards, DCFS licensing standards and any other applicable standards.
Adhere to compliance with funding requirements through routine revision and updates to systems, policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to monthly reporting, budgetary fulfillments and facility maintenance.
Conduct weekly supervision/coaching sessions with staff to provide reflective support and ensure that client and staff activities conform to agency and center visions as well as the Code of Ethical Conduct.
Provide direct service to parents and caregivers to strengthen relationships as well as contribute to the well being of the infants, toddlers and preschoolers enrolled in the program.
Collaborate with MFS Childcare Site Directors to develop and achieve program goals. Participate with other agency programs to address client needs and expand client services.
Actively participate with community partners and stakeholders to develop relationships and supports for parents and to advocate on their behalf.
As stipulated in the agency Code of Ethics, engage in effective interaction with diverse staff and service area populations through ongoing demonstration of non-bias respect and behavior.
Participate in professional development opportunities by attending in-services, conferences and meetings with other professional organizations. Utilize available on site resources through internet websites, professional journals and libraries.
Other duties as assigned.
Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required
Three years teaching experience and supervisory experience.
Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
