We are looking for a full-time Job Developer for our Family Works Program at the Trumbull Park, Lowden Homes and Scattered Sites locations.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides outreach to engage targeted Self Sufficiency caseload of job ready clients.
Perform situational assessments and vocational explorations.
Observe and document consumers vocational assets and limitation, ability to engage in competitive employment, need for and ability to benefit from supported employment, including natural supports.
Handles emergency and crisis situations with residents.
Assists clients with employment readiness training and job search assistance.
Assists job ready clients to obtain permanent, unsubsidized jobs in high demand industries.
Develop and foster professional relationships with employers, placement agencies, and temporary agencies to ensure consistent contact for job leads within the community based on the assessed needs of the clients.
Design and develop employment service marketing program.
Make presentations to business within the community to promote employment services program and develop new jobs for consumers.
Facilitate Job Clubs with guest speakers and employers about various life skills, career development, job related topics, income supports, job leads, etc.
Assist clients in obtaining permanent, unsubsidized jobs in high-demand industries.
Provide work support and referrals.
Works within contract, grant, and program requirements including meeting timelines and reporting requirements.
Maintains strong relationships between the program and employers of agency clients to ensure the employer's overall satisfaction with the program and clients who are their employees.
Performs situational assessments and vocational explorations.

Utilizes a team approach and works with other program staff in the planning and implementation of services.
Ability to engage in competitive employment.
With supervisory approval, authorizes limited amounts of financial assistance to clients.
Takes increasing responsibility for own professional development, utilizing supervision and other developmental opportunities within and outside the agency to enhance skills and understanding.
Works effectively with diverse staff and service populations.
Required to work one Saturday and at least one late night a month.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Work, Business Administration, Social Science, Communications or related field from an accredited institution.
AND 3 years of case management and employment placement experience or training or demonstrated experience in a related area.
Knowledge of building collaborative relationships with employers and community.
Knowledge of Excel to track economic self-sufficiency data.
Highly organized. Knowledge of Excel to track economic self-sufficiency data.
Ability to collaborate and lead workforce development employment opportunities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must have access to a vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job; valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
