Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and Executive Team, the Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses organization-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable trainingsolutions for employees.
Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
Conducts agency-wide needs assessment to determine performance gaps and ways to address performance to meet both strategic and programmatic requirements.
Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results. Modifies programs as needed.
Develops and monitors spending against the departmental budget
Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a non-profit setting
Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Experience with e-learning platforms
MS Office proficiency
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong communication skills
BS degree in Education, Training, or related field
