Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP), a non-profit organization that provides primary health care to migrant farmworkers and other medically underserved populations throughout northern and central Illinois, is seeking a dedicated individual who is looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the health of a community in need.
Performs basic dental hygiene procedures as specified by the Illinois Dental Practice Act, including:
Using dental instruments to clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins to include prophylaxis, periodontal debridement and scaling and root planning.
Performing coronal polishing.
Placing dental sealants.
Palpating and visually examining patient’s extra-oral and intra-oral structures for abnormal conditions or signs of disease.
Charting normal conditions of teeth and surrounding structures and conditions of decay and disease in paper or electronic dental record (Dentrix) for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
Orders and interprets radiographs (Dexis) and uses Dentrix to documents services, creates, maintains and updates patient charts, records, and information.
Experience working with children and Spanish language skills are a plus
Possesses specific professional knowledge or business/industry acumen frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree or RDH Degree from an accredited 2 - 4 year college or university.
