CEDA of Cook County, Inc. is currently seeking a Financial Program Specialist to join our team.
Under the direction of the FSACE South Regional Manager, FSACE Financial Program Specialist is responsible for conducting and implementing outreach initiatives in the assigned region; and identifies families/individual within the service delivery area in order to help the customer build financial self- sufficiency by connecting to resources to strengthen the customer financial education efforts. In coordination with the Regional Manager the FSACE Financial Program Specialist will coordinate the development of the Financial Empowerment Expo. The Financial Program Specialist will work with volunteers and committee members serving as liaison to provide direction, coordination and consultation for all volunteer functions with the Financial Empowerment Expo.

Researches financial resources and literacy issues; assesses the financial literacy partners, products and services in order to provide credible personal money management education to customers and other audiences as required.
Develops partnerships with community based organizations, faith-based organization, private sector, public sector, educational institutions, Chambers, and financial institutions to promote financial literacy initiatives/programs and provides training workshops.
Host and attend recruiting events within the community to attract qualified volunteers and committee members for the Expo planning committee.
Develop and conduct and/or arrange for volunteer orientation and training of volunteer board.
Ensure volunteer hours are recorded and submitted to Regional Manager for reporting.
Conduct outreach within the assigned region to recruit and enroll families and individuals in FSACE services
Conduct intake, assessment and case management of clients enrolled in the program.
Enters and ensures accuracy of all data entered into Stars database.
Conduct follow up for minimum 90 days
Implements assigned FSACE work program as written to ensure achievement of objectives and outcomes.
Assist in conducting community needs assessments and client satisfaction surveys for program planning.
Identifies internal and external linkages for referrals for additional services as needed.
Prepares bi-monthly reports and other reports that correspond to job responsibilities.
Participates in regular staffing meeting and training as required.
Coordinates committee meeting for Expo and maintain attendance sheet and minutes.
Secure location for expert subject matter speakers and participants for Financial Empowerment Expo.

Travel throughout suburban Cook County. Candidate must have regular access to an automobile; must possess and maintain an applicable Illinois Driver License and Auto Insurance that meets the State requirement.
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college of university, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years of experience in community and direct service work preferred.
Ability to handle high levels case management and solid case noting skills required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience working with low-income diverse populations.
Knowledge of available student financial resources
