The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, has an opportunity to perform key accounts receivable duties to process, research, and reconcile accounts receivable applications.
Some duties will include:
Process and reconcile e-commerce activity on both daily and monthly basis.
Process inter-departmental charge backs.
Research and process credit card return disputes.
Maintain and reconcile unapplied cash.
Prepare the display and classified advertising tracking and reconciliation reports.
Reconcile Development’s cash clearing account and assist with reconciling other cash clearing accounts.
Work with AAP staff to research customer account balance inquiries.
Act as reference to outside vendors regarding display and classified advertising inquiries.
Reconcile NCE Exhibit A/R invoices & payments with our 3rd party vendor (Corcoran). Prepare related month-end journal entry.
Prepare the office services journal entry and assist with preparation of monthly reclasses.

Qualified candidates will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience required.
One to two years accounting experience, with emphasis in accounts receivable and credit card research required.
Proficiency with MS Office and intermediate experience with spreadsheet and accounting software required.
Excellent communication, organizational, and PC (MS Office) skills required, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to research information and make financially sound judgments based on information.
