The purpose will be two-fold: 1) to conduct research on ex-vivo human brain MRI and work on the development of biomarkers for age-related neuropathologies, and 2) to work on the development of a comprehensive human brain atlas for older adults. Primary responsibilities include: 1) conduct research, 2) write papers and grants, and 3) train others. Research excellence is our goal.
The postdoctoral fellow will write research papers, abstracts, and grants which will be submitted to journals, conferences, and funding institutions. The postdoctoral fellow will also assist in training and supervising students and staff.
Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Physics.
At least four years of experience in neuroimaging and modalities such as structural and diffusion MRI, susceptibility-weighted imaging, MR relaxometry. Strong programming skills and experience with Linux/Unix. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and manage own work. A clear interest in collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork. highly motivated, enthusiastic and detail- oriented. Ability to work independently.
