Summary: The Donor Relations Coordinator reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for providing administrative support to the Development office as well as ancillary fundraising activities including but not limited to donor acknowledgement, donor and public relations, communications, and appeals. The Donor Relations Coordinator is also responsible for implementing the social media campaign and coordinating events for the agency.
The position focuses heavily on written and oral communications and reporting for all levels of the agency's donors. Experience with event planning, high-level acknowledgement letters, and project management within a development environment are key factors for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide high-level written and verbal correspondence with donors and prospective donors
Perform data-entry and run reports in the donor database to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Provide day-to-day administrative support for all fundraising efforts of the agency, including management/execution of all internal events
Assist in development of fundraising materials for the agency, including writing and designing, as well as maintaining necessary quantities of printed materials.
Act as back up to the Volunteer & Commissary Coordinator - receiving in-kind donations and distributing items to clients that come through the Commissary for household items/clothing.
Supervisory Responsibility: Responsible for the oversight of work performance of volunteers and agency clientele working on development functions and goals. Potential supervision of interns working on agency communications.
Travel Responsibility: Minimal travel required to local events, presentations and to receive donations across the counties we serve.

3+ years donor communications and fundraising required
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required
Strong computer and donor database skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
