School Transition Enrollment Coordinator will be a key asset in working with the Office of Catholic Schools. This role will work with School Principals and School Marketing Directors for the retention of families, who are currently enrolled at closing Archdiocese of Chicago (AoC) elementary schools, for the following year.
This position is responsible for connecting with individual families exiting closing schools with the goals of: (a) identifying their Catholic school needs/desires, and (b) using AoC/Parish/School colleagues’ assistance to place the affected families at another AoC school.
This position serves as a liaison between closing school and potential schools, assisting and tracking all families through the process of identifying, evaluating, touring, electing and ultimately transferring to another AoC School.
Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinate with Pastoral Center field leaders (Regional Director (RD), Marketing & Enrollment Manager (MEM), School Finance Manager (SFM) and Director of Vicariate Operations (DVO)) to understand conditions/context of affected schools and alternative AoC schools.
Coordinate directly with Principal and School Marketing Director to create and cultivate relationships with individual families at closing schools.
Coordinate with Vicariate-specific Marketing & Enrollment Manager to establish working relationships with Principals/School Marketing Directors at potential AoC alternatives
Collect parent and student information from closing and merging schools.
Develop relationships with principals and staff at closing, merging, and potential receiving schools.
Assist closing and merging schools with preparing exit materials and guiding families to potential receiving schools.
Assist families at closing schools, in coordination with Pastoral Center colleagues and other Principals, in creating whole-grade transfers demands and opportunities.
Assist closing and merging schools with scheduling and planning on-site school fairs.
Assist receiving schools in scheduling and planning open house events.
Assist individual families in selecting, touring and transferring to potential receiving schools.
Follow up with and closely track the transfer progress of individual families to their successor schools during FY18 (if relevant) and into FY19.
Attend OCS staff meetings, Vicariate team meetings, Leadership Days, and other events as necessary.
Extensive travel required to schools throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. Travel reimbursement provided.
Some nights and weekends required.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Education related specialization.
2+ years’ experience in elementary, middle or high school marketing, enrollment, teaching
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred by not required.
Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.
