Reporting to the Chief Human Resources and Staff Development Officer, the Talent Acquisition Manager is a working leader responsible for creating and implementing a talent acquisition strategy and processes. This role will perform both hands-on recruitment, and lead and coach the Talent Acquisition team to ensure we identify, select, and onboard outstanding talent for the Archdiocese, as well as consistently provide an excellent candidate experience.

Create and implement the Archdiocese’s Talent Acquisition Strategy and Processes that result in hiring the best possible talent. This includes: working with managers to develop talent acquisition plans; identifying best candidate sources; identifying and implementing talent acquisition tools; and creating, implementing, and evaluating talent acquisition metrics.
Hire, motivate, lead and engage a talent acquisition team. Actively coach team to meet talent acquisition goals, and support team members in their individual professional development.
Ensure open, approved positions have effective hiring plans. Monitor recruitment process and progress to identify challenges, and develop and implement effective solutions.
Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions. Create postings, advertising, and other recruitment tools. Work with Internal Communications to develop and apply the Archdiocese’s employment brand to effectively communicate with multiple internal and external constituents, including candidates.
Recruit for open positions.
Develop partnerships with colleges, universities, professional associations, and service organizations to build relationships with them and their members, and use as a recruitment source.
Develop, evaluate, and report key metrics. Make and implement recommendations for improvement and implement solutions.
Work with hiring managers to help create effective onboarding plans.
Partner with Human Resources team, organization leaders, and other stakeholders to identify succession plans for critical positions, and ensure that we have a pipeline of talent to meet demand.
Manage talent acquisition vendors including advertising, background check, and third-party recruiters/consultants.
Manage the Archdiocese’s background and reference check processes.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree and PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
7+ years of talent acquisition experience with proven impact in driving positive results, and improving candidate and leader experience.
Knowledge and experience in developing talent pipelines and sourcing strategies including online, direct sourcing, and social media to enhance employer brand and drive sourcing of key talent.
Ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to create, lead, and implement strategies, infrastructure, and processes.
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading, motivating, training, coaching, and mentoring team members.
Strong relationship management, and consulting and coaching skills. The ability to effectively partner with internal stakeholders to influence and drive recruitment goals and outcomes.
Strong time management, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive results.
Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication to different audiences and contexts.
