Position Summary In alignment with the Mission of the Archdiocese of Chicago (AoC), the Organizational Development Leader is responsible for leading the Organizational Development team and function as part of the Human Resources team. The Organizational Development Leader will, together with his or her team of Organizational Development and Training team members, identify and assess organizational effectiveness, and learning and development (training) needs, and plan, develop, execute, and facilitate systemic, integrated, scalable, AoC-wide (Pastoral Center, Meyer Center, Parishes, Schools, and Seminaries) Organizational Development and Training strategies and best practices.
Lead change management initiatives by thoroughly understanding organizational current state, strategy and future state, assessing related needs, and in collaboration with AoC partners and CHRO, create and manage change management practices and activities. Change management as part of Renew My Church is a top priority.
Participate in development, implementation, facilitation, analysis, and reporting of Employee Engagement practices, with initial emphasis on the AoC Employee Engagement Survey. Identify and manage action plans based on Employee Engagement Survey results.
Create, implement, and facilitate on boarding and orientation practices that enthusiastically speak to the AoC’s Mission, welcome new AoC team members, reinforce their choice to join the AoC, and provide information to support their organizational understanding and job readiness to help set them up for success in their role with the AoC.
Develop and implement competency-based employee lifecycle practices, including talent acquisition and performance management.
Create and implement holistic talent and performance management practices, tools, and training that include goal setting aligned with AoC goals, ongoing evaluation, review, individual development plans, and succession planning.
Perform training needs assessment, design and facilitate employee and leadership development training programs; identify external training resources and engage as appropriate and allowable in consideration of resources.
Create and implement metrics for all relevant Organizational Development and Training initiatives to assess effectiveness, and change practices to improve results.
Evaluate Human Resources practices, perform workflow analysis, identify process improvements, and manage workflow process mapping.

Passionate about and committed to the Mission of the Archdiocese of Chicago and global Catholic Church.
Minimum ten years’ experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis in Organizational Development and Training.
Significant demonstrated experience in Organizational Development and Training, especially change management, performance and talent management, and training; ability to develop, communicate, and facilitate Organizational Development and Training initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Intelligent, knowledgeable, strategic, creative, collaborative, adaptable, team-focused professional who works well in an evolving environment, and across the entire organization with diverse organizational teams, and within the Human Resources team
