The primary responsibility is the supervision of daily operations of one Residential Home, supporting approximately 14-16 adults with developmental disabilities.
Ensures that quality services are provided for all individuals in the home.
Facilitate the achievement of Person Centered Plan outcome measures.
The Home Manager is expected to uphold the Mission & Values of the Association.
The Home Manager supervises the Lead Direct Support Professionals and the DSP’s.
The Home Manager provides coaching, performance appraisals and corrective actions as needed to LDSP/DSP.
Other important information/details about the position:
Trains, supervises and evaluates the DSP’s and ensures they are promoting individual choices and maximum independence in all aspects of people’s lives, including personal care needs ADL’s, current and future goals, activities, etc.
Ensures all programs (ISP, invention plans, self-medications, etc.) are implemented daily and appropriate support/supervision is provided to individuals based on needs and Person Centered Plans.
Organizes and ensures quality community-based activities are occurring on a regular basis.
Ensures all documentation, paperwork and necessary reporting is completed in a timely manner.
Attends and contributes to individuals’ annual staffing and assists in the development of the ISP
Candidate must possess a HS Diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
5 to 7 years of related experience in field of Developmental Disabilities.
Strong Supervisor skills.
Must be on DSP registry complete with training.
Must be able to meet the HealthCare Worker Background Check requirements, have a valid IL Driver’s License.
Must be able to lift and carry (75 lbs.), as well as climb, work with arms over the shoulders, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking regularly.
Positive and up-beat personality is a must.
All employees are required upon hire to provide a Motor Vehicle Report obtained from the Secretary of State.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
